Moondance Cottage

Nestled in the picturesque Parvati Valley, Kasol is a small village around 40 kilometres east of Kullu and about five kilometres from Manikaran. Stretching along the Parvati River, the village offers spectacular views of the surrounding valleys. Kasol is a base for treks to Sar Pass, Yanker pass, Pin Parbati Pass and Kheerganga. A two hour drive from Manali, the village, which was always popular with backpackers, has now become a major hub for visitors who want to escape the crowds. The place dotted with bakeries, restaurants, cafes and pocket-friendly guesthouses. There is a huge influence if Israeli culture in Kasol, as the place was once crowded with Israelis who came and never left.
You can choose to trek to various nearby villages such as Malana, Tosh and Chhalal or you can simply sit and relax and take in the natural beauty surrounding the place. Those with a heavy belly can go cafe hopping for which Kasol is quite renowned. The place is full of some marvellous cafes that serve mouth-watering  delicacies.
